October 22, 2006 - BMRC Season Finale "Stunt Show" draws thousands as the season comes to an end.

Four of the seven championships were decided in the final race day of the season. With titles on the line, action was intense and extraordinary racing took place in the final races of the day. BMRC would like to give a special thanks to the sponsors of the season finale: Francis Contruction, Cycle Care and 911 Racing.

October 18th, 2006 - FRANCIS CONSTRUCTION sponsors International Stunt Riders Jason Britton and Jessica Maine to perform at BMRC Season Finale

Francis Construction has sponsored the BMRC Final race day by brining in both Jason Britton and Jessica Maine for a stunt show which proves to provide great entertainment for both riders and spectators.

Races will start at 1p.m. on Sunday, Oct 22. 2006. There will be an AfterParty at Gombeys, Clearwater, St. Davids after 7p.m. Come out and Support the season finale!

October 8th, 2006 - Toriano Wilson takes first GP125 Victory ahead of Cyril Whitter as Whitter closes championship lead to Shannon Caisey.

With one race day to go the championship race is coming to a close with some championships already decided. Keanu Wilson has won the MiniGP80 and Bruce Degrilla has won the Stock Modified class with one race day to spare. The top three riders in the scooter class are seperated by only 19 points with John Cook leading the standings.

Mini Bike Juniors
Zain Philpott continues to dominate the mini bike junior class in excellent from winning all three races of the day. David Jones Jr., defending champion, took second place in race one and two followed by Josh Commissiong finishing third. Race three saw Josh Commissiong finishing second in front of David Jones Jr. who had to settle for third.

Mini Bike Open
In race one Shaquille Godfrey had a hard battle to take the lead on lap 7 from Jeneko Place. Godfrey went on to win the race as Place was forced to settle for second place. Godfrey went on to win all three races with Place finishing second and Andrew Decosta securing third.

Stock Modified
Khyren Wilson took the lead and secured his first win of the season in race one followed by Makai Trott in second and Justin Francis in third. In Race two and three Bruce DeGrilla Jr. rode hard to secure himself a double win followed by Andrew Decosta in second and Makai Trott Trott securing third.

Mini GP 80
In Race one and two Tristan Francis took two dominant victories. Jonae smith had to battle hard with Keanu Wilson to secure second leaving Wilson to secure third. In race two Smith secured second spot again with Justin Belboda finishing in third. Race three saw Smith take the lead on lap 10 from Francis to secure victory. Francis was left to settle for second with Belboda again finishing in third.

Scooter 70 Open
Race one saw championship leader John Cook deck out in lap 8 but recovered quickly to re-enter the race. Devon "red" Bailey was unluckly to acquire a flat tire in lap nine leaving him to finish 10th. This left the door open for Ed Cook to secure an easy victory in the first race with John Cook racing hard to secure second spot and Ricky Pereira taking the third position. The flat tire left a damper for Bailey #100 as he had to settle for 10 th spot.

In race two John Cook led 8 out of the 16 laps with Bailey fighting hard to take the lead in lap nine and securing the win with Cook finishing in second and his Brother Ed Cook securing third. Vermonde Virgil battled hard to secure fourth in all three races. Jonathan Cabral took the fifth spot from Ricky Pereira in race two leaving Periera to settle for sixth.

John Cook once again lead in rae three followed by Bailey for the first 5 laps. With a constant battle Bailey took over the lead in lap 6 and once again took victory with Cook having to settle for second and his Brother Ed securing third.

GP125
Toriano Wilson took off like a rocket off the start line and held on to the lead for the first 10 laps of the race but was slowly picked him down and overtaken on lap 11 by the 2005 champion Cyril Whitter. Whitter led the race until the very last lap when Wilson was able to get up the inside of Whitter and take victory leaving Whitter to settle for second and Shannon Caisey to finish in third.

Race two was a different story as Whitter took the lead at lap one and a dominant win followed by Wilson in second and Jevaughn Simons bringing home the third place. Race three saw Wilson once again lead the race for the first two laps. Whitter overtook Wilson on lap three and started to put distance between Wilson and himself. Whitter went on to take the checkered flag followed by Wilson in a distant second and Caisey securing third.

SuperBike
Marvin Robinson led 11 of the 16 laps in the first race but as David Jones Sr. shot across Robinson on the second last lap, Robinson saw his chances fade away. Jones went on to take victory followed by Robinson in second followed by Stephen Paynter in a strong third place finish.

Race two saw Stephen Paynter lead the first lap followed by Robinson and Jones. He was passed by both Jones and Robinson on lap three. Jones managed to hold off the attacks of Robinson to secure a second victory with Robinson having to settle for second. Paynter once again secured the third spot.

In Race three Robinson rode hard to take the lead in lap 6 and secured his first win of the day followed by Jones in second. Stephen Paynter slid out in lap 9 leaving the door open for Ed Daniels to secure third spot.

September 24, 2006- Devon Bailey back on track with a victory and second place whilst John Cook takes lead in Scooter Championship.

It was another good turnout for the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club with a great crowd and sunny skies. The day saw one major accident but no riders seriously hurt. Riders in the scooter 70 and superbike classes put on an asssume show for the spectators withing close racing to the checkered flag.

Mini Bike Juniors
Zain Philpott who took victory in both races followed by David Jones Jr. in second and Josh Commissiong finishing third. Brandon Silva and Jazari Caisey battled hard for the final positions but it was Silva finishing ahead of Caisey finishing fourth and Caisey 5th in both races.

Mini Bike Open
There was intense action in the mini bike open class as Jeffrey Madeiros battled from the back to take the lead from Jeneko Place on the second last lap. Madeiros went on take the win leaving Placeto settle for second. Shaquille Godfrey had crashed out out but re-entered the race to finish third. In race two Godrey led from the first lap and took the checkered flag pushing his bike across the line after a mechanical problem. Andrew Decosta finished second leaving Place to settle for third.

Stock Modified
Bruce DeGrilla dominated both races as he took the lead in lap one and the checkered flag followed by Justin Francis in second and Makai Trott securing third position. In Race two again DeGrilla Jr. took the lead once again and a second win for the day followed by Francis in second and Trott finishing third.

Mini GP 80
In race one Keanu Wilson lead 5 laps of the race until he was black flagged and taken off the track. Triston Francis took advantage as he won in the first race and Justin Belboda finishing second in his first race of the season. Jonae Smith secured the final podium position finishing in third. In race two Wilson took the lead and never looked back as he took the checkered flag in race two. Francis couldn't get close enough to mount a challenge and had to settle for second leaving Belboda to secure third.

Scooter 70 Open
In race one the Cook Brothers led the first and second lap. In lap two both brother's crashed leaving the Devon Bailey to take the lead. With Bailey out in front John and Ed Cook were left to battle for the final two podium positions. John Cook finished second leaving third place for his older brother Ed Cook . Neville Darrell was on form today as he finished a close fourth, his best finish of the season, and Ricky Pereira securing fifth position.

In Race two John Cook took the lead from lap one but on Lap 5 the race was Red Flagged. Josh Girauld suffered a serious tumble causing the race to be stopped while the ambulance entered the track and debris was removed corner. The race restarted with a 10 lap shoot out. John Cook once again took the lead and the victory. Bailey and Ed Cook battle for second position until Ed Cook crashed but manged to get back up and secure third. With Bailey finishing in second, Ricky Pereira secured fourth place followed by Jonathan Cabral in fifth.

GP125
Cyril Whitter III led for the first 10 laps in race one. Shannon Caisey slowly each lap gained ground on Whitter until, on lap 11, took the lead from him and the win leaving Whitter to settle for second place and Jevaughn Simons securing a distant third place.

Race two saw Whitter again take hole shot from the start leading the first 4 laps. By lap 5 Caisey took it the lead and never looked back to take the win again leaving Whitter to settle for second. Toriano Wilson secured the final podium position finishing in third.

SuperBike
Marvin Robinson took the lead from on lap one and never looked back as he finished the race with a dominant victory. David Jones Sr. was left to settle for second place leave Stephen Paynter to secure the final podium position in third.

Race two was a different story as Jones Sr. took the lead which he maintaned for three laps. Robinson fought back for the next 6 laps until Jones was able to get a small advantage and lead again for two more laps. Bby lap 13 Robinson challenged Jones in an inside overtaking move only to have Jones take the lead back and the checkered flag. Robinson was left to settle for the second place and Paynter again securing third. Paul DeCouto secured 4th position in both races.

Battles continued at the back of the pack as Carlos Francis and Leighton Griffiths fought back and forth until it was Griffiths who passed Francis on lap 8 and secured fifth spot leaving Francis to settle for sixth.

BMRC Race Season - August 27th - Round 9


Super Bike Class
In race one Paul DeCouto got hole shot to lead the race for the first couple of laps. Marvin Robinson pushed hard to take the lead and took dominant victories in all three races as well as the trophy in race 3. David Jones battled it out with Decouto taking second in the first race. Decouto fought back taking second place in the second race of the day but Jones finished the day with a second place in the third race. Stephen Paynter secured third in race one and two while DeCouto took third place in race 3.

GP125 Class
In race one Cyril Whitter highsided in the warmup laps. Officials cleaned up the scene delaying the start of the race. Whitter managed to get his bike fixed and was out on the track to start the race. He took hole shot and the lead to win race one followed by Shannon Caisey in second and Toriano Wilson securing 3rd. Wilson placed third in all three races receiving the youngest talent trophy. Race two was a different story as Whitter led the first two laps but then was pressured by Caisey who took over the lead for the next 8 laps. Whitter gave it one last shot and led lap 11 but Caisey took the lead and the checkered flag in race 2 followed by Whitter in second and Wilson third. The third racehy race was restarted on lap 5 when Johnie Burgess crashed out. The restart saw Caisey take hole shot and lead the first couple of laps. Whitter pressured a move and took the lead in lap three and victory followed by Caisey in second and Wilson in third.

Scooter 70 Class
In race one John Cook took the lead and pulled away. Devon Bailey made an attempt as he took the lead in lap 8 but it was not enough as Cook took the win in the first race followed by Bailey in second and Ed Cook taking third. Race 2 saw John Cook take the lead but on lap 11 his brother Ed took the lead and the win followed by John Cook second and Bailey finishing third. Race three was the trophy race and everyone was in true form and ready to go but there was no stopping Bailey as he took the lead from lap one and the checkered flag along with the first place trophy and the Most outstanding Rider trophy with Ed Cook taking second place and John Cook bring home third.

MiniGP 80 Class
There was no stopping young Keanu Wilson as he took all three checkered flags and the 1st place trophy in race three. Triston Francis gave him a run but not enough to take the flag from him but finished 2nd in the first race. Jonae Smith finished third in the first race but blew past everyone to secure 2 nd in race two and three and took the second place trophy.

Stock Modified Class
Bruce DeGrilla won all three races in the Stock modified class followed by Khyren Wilson taking second in all three races and Jecoye Francis finishing third in the first race and young Justin Francis #21 taking third in race two and three.

MiniBike Open Class
First place finishes were split with Jeneko Place taking the first race followed by Shaquille Godfrey winning the second race and Dale Eve taking victory the third race of the day and the trophy.

Mini Bike Junior Class
Zaine Philpott took the checkered flag in all three races and was presented with the 1st place trophy and the trophy with the most wins. David Jones Jr. #1 finished second in all three races. Young Jezari Caisey took a tumble but still got up to finish the race.


August 13th, 2006 - Devon "Red" Bailey takes a double win protested by Cook Brother...

BMRC Race Season - August 13th - Round 8

Super Bike Class
Marvin "Skinny" Robinson revved to the front of the pack with David Jones placed in fourth position. At halfway Jones had managed to move into third position but Robinson took the win in race one. By Race two Jones switched bikes as he and Robinson battled hard. Jones managed to take the win with Robinson finishing in second. It was Ed Daniels first time back finishing 5th in race two on an Aprilia 250 Cup bike.

GP125 Class
Jevaughn Simons got the hole shot but b y the end of the first lap it was Cyril Whitter who took the lead. Whitter pulled away take the first in the first race with Shannon Caisey finishing in second and Jevaughn Simons finishing in third. Manny Smith decked on the first corner but recovered to finish the race in 7th. Race two saw Whitter break down on the start finish stretch while leading the race leaving the door open for Caisey to take a dominant victory over Simons finishing in second and Manny Smith finishing third.

Scooter 70 Class
At the start of the race Devon 'Red' Bailey was at the back of the pack but by the first corner had moved into second place. Bailey then took lead by the end of the first lap and pulled away from the pack as he literally walked cross the checkered flag as he took the win in both the first race. The second race saw Bailey take another dominant victory wheelie'ing his Zip across the finish line.. John Cook finished second in both races and his brother Ed Cook finished third in both races.

At the end of the race day an official protest had been made by John Cook against Bailey's motor. The protest claimed that Bailey had been running oversized parts. Bailey's mechanic tore down the motor and the tech inspectors found that Bailey's equipment was within the legal limits. The protest failed and Bailey went home with two wins.

MiniGP 80 Class
Tristan Francis took the lead in the first lap with Keanu Wilson fighting hard to catch up. By lap three Wilson took the lead but there was a serious battle between Francis and Wilson with the lead constantly changing. Francis tucked the front decking out on the last lap leaving the door open for Wilson to take the win and Kewaun Gilbert to finish second. In the second race Wilson got to the front and pulled away taking a dominant victory over is closest rivals..

Stock Modified Class
Bruce DeGrilla took two dominant victories in the stock modified class. Justin Francis came in second in the first race but Andrew Decosta fought back to take second place in the second race of the day.

MiniBike Open Class
Andrew DeCosta took the win in both races. Dale Eve took second place in the first race. Jeneko Place finished second in the second race of the day.

Mini Bike Junior Class
Zaine Philpott won both race one and two with David Jones Jr. settling for second place. Jezari Caisey took the track for the first time at age 6 and finished 3 rd in the first race but decked in the second.


July 30th, 2006 - David Jones Takes Double Win in Superbike Championship...

BMRC Race Season - July 30th - Round 7

Super Bike Class
Marvin Robinson on his Yamaha 600 got out to the front and was able to hold onto the lead for a few laps. By lap 4 David Jones Sr. took the lead. Robinson and Jones battled with Jones conceiding the lead back to Robinson at the half waystage of the race. Paul Decouto made it a three way battle until Jones made his way back into first taking the checkered flag followed by #0 Paul Decouto and Stephen Paynter finishing third.

GP125 Class
Jevaughn Simons got hole shot followed closely by Cyril Whitter into turn one. By turn three Whitter got out to the front of the pack and pulled away from the pack. Shannon Caisey finished second leaving the current championship leader, Simons, to finish in third. In race two Whitter took the lead in the first lap. By lap Caisey took over the lead from whitter and secured the win with Whitter finishing a very close second and Simons securing the final podium position. Josonne "Manny" Smith was able to secure two forth place finishes in both races. Jonny Burgess finished 5th place in the first race and Leroy Trott finished 6th. In race two Trott took 5th place in a battle with Burgess leaving Burgess to settle for 6th place finish.

Scooter 70 Class
John & Ed Cook took off down the track but by the end of the first lap it was Devon "Red" Bailey who took the lead and led majority of the race. Bailey unfortunately had a mechanical issue and had to settle for a nineth place finish leaving the door open for Ed Cook to finish in first and John Cook finish second followed by #12 Vermonde Virgil in third. Ricky Pereira hung close behind as he secured 4th place in race one and two. Jonathan Cabral finished 5th. Bryce Jennings held on to secure a 6th place finish in race one followed by Clayton Harshaw in 7th and Neville Darrell finishing in 8th . In race two Bailey got out to the front pulled away to take a dominant victory. The cook brothers battled it out with John Cook taking second and Ed Cook having to settle for third. Cabral made a pass on Virgil with a lap and a half to go to secure 5th place leaving Virgil to settle for 6th. Clayton Harshaw finished 7th followed by Bryce Jennings in 8th spot and Neville Darrell taking 9 th place.

MiniGP 80 Class
There was a three way battle for first between Keanu Wilson, Kewaun Gilbert and #Triston Francis as they each took turns out in front. At lap 12 Francis took the lead and managed to pull away from Wilson and Gilbert to take victory. Michael Rebelo took second place in his first race in the championship followed by Gilbert in third. Jonae Smith had mechanical problems and was unable to race.

Stock Modified Class
Bruce DeGrilla blew away the competition as he took the lead amd victory in race one and two. ustin Francis fnishes in second place in race one and third place in race two. Andrew Decosta finished third in race one and second in the race two.

MiniBike Open Class
Jeffrey Medeiros #44 took the lead and his first victory of the season. Andrew Decosta finished second In Race two Shaquille Godfrey blew away the competition as he took the lead in the first lap and a dominant victory. Mederios and a crash but managed to re-enter the race and finish in fourth.

Mini Bike Junior Class
Zain Philpott took a double victory against his rival David Jones Jr.

July 16th, 2006 - Wet Racing in Round 6 of Championship..

BMRC Race Season - July 16th - Round 6

Super Bike Class
The battle continues for supremacy between David Jones and Marvin Robinson in a round six of the championship. Paul Decouto was the suprise to the battle as he led for majority of the race ahead of Robinson and Jones. Robinson made a thrilling late breaking pass on Decouto at the end of the start finish stretch leaving Jones to force a move on Decouto so that Robinson wouldn't get away. In the end, Robinson took the checked flag in a last corner move to close the gap to only 5 points in the championship.

GP125 Class
With the rain becoming more and more present the gp race back a slippery battle for honours. From the start there was an immediate battle to the front from Shannon Caisey, Toriano Wilson, Jevaughn Simons and Cyril Whitter. A few laps into the race Wilson lost the front end leaving the battle to Simons, Caisey and Whitter. With Whitter closing the gap on Simons and Caisey, Caisey made a move at the end of the start finish stretch on Simons and began to put down a fast pace that neither Simons nor Whitter could compete with. Caisey went on to win the race with Simons taking second and Whitter having to settle for third.

Scooter 70 Class
With the Scooter class being the last race of the day it proved to be one of the most intense races as well. The rain soaked race saw Devon Bailey take a hard faught and well needed victory which allowed him to close the gap on the championship leader Ed Cook. Bailey and the Cook brothers had a close battle in the beginning but with Bailey on rain tires and the track becoming more wet as the race went on, the Cook brother could not keep up with the pace that Bailey put out and John Cook had to settle for a second place finished followed by his brother Ed in third.

MiniGP 80 Class
Kewaun Gilbert was back on track and took victory after being out after a broken foot injury in a motocross accident. Gilbert took hole shot and led the race from start to finish. Jonae Smith and Keaun Wilson battled hard for second position which gave Gilbert the ability to gain more ground each lap. Smith took over second place and set after Gilbert but was unable to mount a challenge as Gilbert took the checkered flag followed by Smith in second and Wilson in third. Edwina Harris recovered from a crash to finish fourth.

Stock Modified Class
Justin Francis should brilliant potential as he took his first win of the season. Bruce Degrilla was absent leaving Andrew Decosta the ability to take the championship lead with a second place finish. Khyren Wilson took the final podium position finishing third place.

MiniBike Open Class
Shaquille Godfrey blew away the field taking victory followed in second place by Jeneko Place. Jeffery Maderios is showing constant improvment finishing in third place followed by Dale Eve in fourth and the current championship leader Andrew Decosta in 5th.

Mini Bike Junior Class
Zain Philpott and David Jones Jr. continue their battle for the championship with Philpott taking victory and a 5 point lead over Jones.

June 18th, 2006 - Devon Bailey back on track with a victory and second place whilst Ed Cook maintains lead in Scooter Championship.

The fourth race day of the season showed dominance and thrill in the Scooter 70 Open class with a intense battle between Devon Bailey, John Cook and Edward Cook. Both Bailey and his racing scooter were on point as he won the second race with a clear victory, wheelie'ing across the finish line.

Mini Bike Juniors & Mini Bike Open
Andrew Decosta took the checked in the first race followed by Jeffrey madeiros with his best finish of the season in second. Eddemiko Harris took the last podim position finishing a strong third.  In the second race Shaquille Godfrey was back in form as he took victory crossing the checkered flag first followed by Andrew Decosta and Jeffrey madeiros finishing up in third. Zain Philpott took victory in both races unchallenged.

StockModified & Mini GP80
Bruce Degrilla took the victory in the stock modified in both races followed by Andrew Decosta taking finishing second. Justin Francis, only eight years old, took the last podium position in third. Tristan Francis dominated the MiniGP80 class finishing first in both races. Keanu Wilson, the current champioship leader, and Jonae Smith both took a second and third place finish.

Scooter 70 Open
Devon 'Red' Bailey took the lead in the first race but decked on the corner causing him to lose the lead and finish second.  This left the door open for Ed Cook to take victory whilst John Cook finished in third.  The second race was no competition as Bailey took the lead and walked away from the rest of the pack taking the checkered flag in race two followed by both Cook brothers, John and Ed, respectively.

GP125
Jevaughn 'Squirrel' Simons got hole shot and led the entire first race. Cyril Whitter tried to mount a challenge but was unsuccessful and had to settle for a second place finish followed by Shannon Caisey in third.  In race two Whitter was penalised with a ride through penality after a jump started. This left Whitter to recover from the back of the pack to a fourth place finish. Caisey got in front of Simons on lap one and dominated the race leaving Simons to finish second followed by young Toriano Wilson in third.

SuperBike
Due to insufficient entries there was no super bike races this past race day..

June 4th, 2006 - Ed Cook takes double wins in thrilling Scooter class finishes!

The third race of the season packed three times the excitement of the previous races so far this season. With sunny skies and an incredible atmosphere, it was a great day for racing.

Mini Bike Juniors & Mini Bike Open
There was a minor accident in turn two involving a few of the mini bike open riders. Jeffrey Madeiros recovered quickly to achieve his highest finish so far this season of third. David Jones Jr. dominated the junior class taking two first in both races. Andrew DeCosta and Shaquille Godrey both won a race each in the Mini Bike Open class.

StockModified & Mini GP80
Tristan Francis was on form winning both races of the day with two dominant victories in the MiniGP80 class. The crowd however was drawn to the battle between Keanu Wilson and Bruce Degrilla both riding the Metrakit MiniGP 70 machines. Keanu Wilson took overall as well as in the MiniGP 80 class riding an under powered machine. Bruce Degrilla showed great potential taking two wins in the stock modified class leaving the rest of the field behind in the intense between between Wilson and himself.

Scooter 70 Open
Ed Cook is in great form at the beginning of the season with another double victory to gain a greater point lead margin over his rivals. Both victories were not easy with Devon Bailey and John Cook breathing down Ed Cook's back. At the end Bailey and John Cook had to settle for a second and a third each.

GP125
Cyril Whitter III is gaining ground back on the championship leader Shannon Caisey. Whitter had a bad start in race one leaving him to make his way from the back of the pack to take victory. Caisey finished in second whilst Raymond "Patch" Master finished in third. In Race two Whitter once again took victory followed by Shannon Caisey in second and young Toriano Wilson finishing third. Jevaughn Simons, the early championship leader, crashed out in turn 3.

SuperBike
David Jones Sr. and Marvin Robinson led the group with an intense battle. Robinson made a minor mistake which allowed Jones to gain a slight advantage which he mantained in order to take victory in race one. In race two Jones again took victory closely followed by Robinson in second. Paul DeCouto finished third in both races.

May 21, 2006 - Caisey takes a double victory to take lead of the GP125 Championship!!

With beautiful weather and a great crowd the second race of the season went off well with lots of thrills and a couple of spills.

In the mini bike class young Shaquille Godfrey raced out to the front in the first race and led until the final lap where he ran out of gas to have to push his bike across the line. This left first place wide open for Jeneko Place leaving Shaquille Godfrey with a 5th place finish. In the second race Shaquille Godfrey sped to the front and that's where he stayed to finish first followed by Andrew Decosta in second and Jeneko Place in third.

StockModified & Mini GP80
It was a great first race back on the track for #101 Paulo Silva finishing second and third n the MiniGP80 Class. Keanu Wilson had a bad start in the first race but managed to not only make it through the field back to first but also pulled a gap to win both the first and second races of the day. Edwina Harris had a brilliant battle with Paulo Silva and Kewaun Gilbert but unfortunately

Scooter 70 Open
Ed Cook took the lead in the first corner in both races to take a double win for the day.. Devon "Red" Bailey was back on form as he raced past John Cook to finish second in the second race followed by John Cook in third. Anthony Smith, Clayton Harshaw and Jonny Cabral battled hard for many laps for fourth. Jonny Cabral finished fourth followed very close by Clayton Harshaw in fifth and Anthony Smith in sixth.

GP125
In the 125 class the 2005 Champion Cyril Whitter III had a bad start in the first race. He battled hard to make his way back to finish in second place.Shannon Caisey won the first race with a dominant victory leaving Jevaughn Simons to finish in third. In the second race Whitter was unable to start the race leaving him with a DNS and no competition for Caisey who raced to the front to take his second victory of the day. Jevaughn Simons finished second and Toriano Wilson finished third.

SuperBike
In the SuperBike Class David Jones once again took a double victory battling from the back of the pack to victory. Marvin Robinson was the closest rival to Jones taking two second place finishes leaving third place to Paul Decouto.

May 7, 2006 - Jones takes Double Win in Super Bike Class!

The BMRC opened Race Day with a bang!! It was an awesome start to the season with great weather and every seat in the place filled. The riders were gnawing at the bit to get out on the track and gave the public what they came to see. The season opened with the Bermuda Classic Cycle Club doing two laps of the track and then it was race time.

Mini Bike Juniors & Mini Bike Open
The first race started with the Mini Bike Juniors and Mini Bike Open racing together. Andrew Decosta # 16 showed the boys how it was done in the first race by getting to the front and pulling away to secure his win in the first race followed by #110 Jeneko Place and #11 Dale Eve in second and third respectively. In the second race, which was a trophy Race, young Shaquille Godfrey #46 pulled it home to take the trophy for first place and Andrew Decosta #16 second followed by Jeneko Place #110 third.

Next came the 70 and 80 cc's riding together. This is the class that has the "Girl Power".

StockModified & Mini GP80
Edwina Harris #6 in the 80 cc and Jonae Smith #7 also in the 80cc class showed the boys that this was not just for the boys. Young Keanu Wilson #59 in the 80cc class was not taking that as he took the checkered flag in the second race followed by Kewan Gilbert #29.

Scooter 70 Open
Out came the roaring Scooters in the next race of the day. There was no stopping the Cook brothers as Ed #4 took the first race followed by brother, JohHarshawn #2 in second. Clayton Harshaw #66 saw the checkered flag as he crossed the line third followed by young Jonny Cabral #28 in fourth, the youngest rider in the scooter class and Red Bailey #3 coming home fifth and Rick Pereira #55 finishing sixth. There were battles all over the track as #7 Anthony Smith and #8 Bryce Jennings pushed hard to see who would finish seventh. Bryce wasn't having that as he crossed the line in seventh and #7 Anthony Smith finished in the eighth spot. In the Trophy Race, John cook #2 saw the checkered flag first followed by brother, Ed cook #4 with Ricky Pereira #55 taking on third and a close Devon Bailey #3 in fourth and Jonny Cabral #28 in fifth.

GP125
Smoking out onto the track came the sound of the 125's. Shannon Caisey #46 took the lead from the start and never looked back as he took first place in the first race followed by Cyril Whitter #17 in second and Jevaughn Simons #21 coming home in third. In the trophy race, Whitter #17 wasn't having that as Caisey #46 was in the lead. As Caisey #46 ran into mechanical issues, Whitter #17 tried to avoid on the inside of the corner and ended up taking out both himself and Caisey #46 leaving Whitter #17 with a DNF and Caisey #46 limping around the track in 6 th place to get his points leaving a hole for Jevaughn Simons #21 to take first place followed by Leroy Trott #6 in second and Toriano Wilson #69, the youngest rider in this class taking home third.

SuperBike
Last but not least out came the big boys. The 600's moved around the track with statements to make. President, David Jones #112, showed them how it was done as he took the first race with ease followed by Marvin Robinson 911# and Stephen Paynter #3 second and third respectively. In the trophy race, Paynter #3 took off and lead to the halfway point but it was David Jones who started out in last and moved his way to the front to take the checkered flag followed close behind with Robinson #911 in second and Paynter #3 in third.

Next race day is May 21 st with a 2:00 starting time.

Overview
Last evening, the BMRC held its annual AGM where voting was done for the 2006 Committee. Before the voting began, two comments were made to everyone present:

•  If membership has not been paid, riders will not be allowed on the track on Saturday.

•  If membership card is lost there will be a replacement fee of $10 for a new one.
